Below are different opportunities to help our community in need. Some are one-time opportunities, while others are ongoing. If you desire to help with any of these, please contact us so we can either remove the opportunity from the list or update it.

DONATE ITEMS
Below are items needed to serve our community. Unless noted, items can be brought to the church office and we will distribute them to the correct recipient. Items noted for schools are requests by each building. We work closely with school leadership and social workers to identify needs to help families in our neighborhood.
Bus Passes for Benton/Wilbur schools
There are a handful of families without transportation to school who rely on public transportation. Some of these families have been identified by social workers as in-need and cannot afford the cost of bus passes. Weekly and monthly Wichita Transit passes are needed for both schools.
$25, $50, $100 Dillons Cards for Benton/Wilbur schools
Dillons gift cards are used to give to families in need as requests come in to social workers. Filling these needs also reduces benevolence requests to the church office.
$10, $25 QuikTrip Gas Cards for Benton/Wilbur schools
QuickTrip gift cards are given to families in need by social workers to help with family transportation needs.
Gender Neutral clothing for Benton/Wilbur schools
Gender Neutral sweatpants & sweatshirts/gym shorts in all sizes are needed for Wilbur Middle School.
$25 & $50 gift cards for Benton/Wilbur schools
Target gift cards are used to help with specific student/family needs as identified by social workers at each building.
Bath Towels for Wilbur Middle School
5 bath towels are needed for Wilbur Middle School. These are used for emergency situations or as needed by social workers.

BENTON READING BUDDIES
Volunteers are needed as First Grade Reading Partners. Volunteers are needed everyday from 2:10-2:35PM (you do not have to serve everyday).
5-6 VOLUNTEERS TO MOVE SHELVES
5-6 Volunteers are needed Tuesday October 29th to help move shelves and some furniture from the current Project Teacher space at 13th and Waco into the new Project Teacher space at 37th/Hydraulic. Volunteers needed at 6pm and should be done by 730pm.

Project Laundry
Every third Thursday, GracePoint volunteers hosts a community laundry night helping people by assisting them with doing their laundry.
